The Circuit Val de Vienne track is a 3,757 metre long race track and is one of the best in the country. You can have training sessions around the track or watch one of the many racing events e.g. superbike, ferrari or historic cars. Airé de Rejallent located in the pretty village of Ruffec is a very scenic spot where you can swim, BBQ and picnic. There is a play area for the children or walk along the pictuesque riverside trails. During July and August canoes and kayaks are available to hire. There is a pretty riverside restaurant overlooking the river that offers alfresco dining or try one of their many delicious ice-creams. More information
Gallo Roman Baths at Chassenon: The remains of this Gallo-Roman town occupy about 300 hectares and includes a sanctuary of about 25 hectares. This sanctuary consistes of several monuments: a big temple, two small ones, a theater (amphitheater?), and thermal baths. The baths, which are very well preserved, can be visited.
